"If" - by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you.
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat these two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count on you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you.
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

"People are always planning how to spend the next thirty years. I am asking how do you want to spend this moment? Free, bound, joyous, stuck, miserable, attached, loving..how? See, only this moment is guaranteed. The next moment is not guaranteed for anybody." - Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev

"Growing up happens in a heartbeat. One day you're in diapers, the next day you're gone. But the memories of childhood stay with you for the long haul. I remember a place, a town, a house, like a lot of houses. A yard like a lot of other yards. On a street like a lot of other streets. And the thing is, after all these years, I still look back...with wonder.." - Concluding narration in the final episode of The Wonder Years

Hope dies last.
Hope is what keeps us going, trying to achieve whatever it is that we want to achieve. It gives us the glimmer of light when there is darkness all around. If everything fails in our endeavors, hope will be the last thing to die. Once hope is gone, it is over. This is why hope always dies last.

You were born an original, don't die a copy.
To me this means: Don't try to be like anyone else. Be original, be your own person, invent your own ideas. Be a leader instead of a follower, and great things shall come for not just you, but for the world.

Do or do not, there is no try - Master Yoda
Whoever wrote this line for Yoda in "The Empire Strikes Back" was a genius. This simple line says many things. To me, it means that if youre going to do something, put your 100% into it. Dont do it half-assed. It doesnt matter if you fail. What matters is that you put your all into it.
